Your Go-To Kitchen Appliances for Healthy Living

Updated: Apr 25

As a wellness coach, yoga teacher, and mama who loves making healthy living simple and sustainable, I rely on a handful of powerful tools in my kitchen to make nourishing meals and drinks easy. Whether I’m whipping up a smoothie post-yoga, prepping for a detox cleanse, or brewing my favorite adaptogenic coffee blend, these appliances are in near-daily rotation.

Here are my top 5 kitchen appliances that support a healthy lifestyle—and yes, they’re all well-loved and used in my own home.

This is the queen of all blenders, and in my opinion, worth every penny. The Vitamix is perfect for:

  • Smoothies loaded with greens, fruits, seeds, and adaptogens

  • Homemade soups and sauces (it actually heats them up from friction!)

  • Nut butters and dairy-free milks

  • Healthy desserts like banana "nice cream"

It’s powerful enough to turn anything into velvety goodness—no chunks, no struggle.

👉 Tip: I always toss in a handful of spinach or parsley for an extra detox-friendly boost!

There’s something incredibly satisfying about pressing fresh lemon or lime juice by hand. I use my citrus press every day for:

  • Morning warm lemon water to support digestion

  • Dressings and marinades

  • Fresh juice for smoothies or mocktails

It’s small, affordable, and makes adding fresh, vitamin C–rich juice into your daily routine a total breeze.

While smoothies are a go-to, nothing compares to the clean, light feel of a fresh cold-pressed juice. A quality juicer is essential for:

  • Celery juice in the morning

  • Root and green veggie juices to support liver detox

  • Creating quick, high-nutrient drinks when you’re short on time

I love juicing after a massage session or before yoga—it gives that energized-but-light feeling I crave.

This air fryer + toaster oven combo has seriously changed the game for fast, clean meals. I use mine for:

  • Roasting veggies in a flash

  • Reheating leftovers without drying them out

  • Toasting gluten-free bread or tortillas

  • Small-batch baking (hello, almond flour muffins!)

It’s faster than the oven and doesn’t heat up the whole house—perfect for quick and healthy meals.

Healthy living doesn’t mean giving up coffee—it just means making it intentional. I use both a single-serve and a full pot coffee maker depending on the day.

  • Full pot for those cozy mornings or when guests are over

  • Single-serve when I’m blending up a mushroom latte or collagen coffee on the go

  • Making coffee at home is healthier and better for your pocket book.

I love adding adaptogens, MCT oil, coconut oil, or cinnamon to my morning brew. It’s part ritual, part self-care.

Final Thoughts

Healthy living doesn’t have to mean hours in the kitchen. With the right tools, nourishing meals and drinks can be easy, efficient, and fun. These five appliances keep me grounded, energized, and aligned with the lifestyle I love to teach and live.
